New Book!
As promised, I have some really exciting news to share: I have decided to launch my own book subscription service. Essentially I will be creating one book every three months which I will then mail out to subscribers.
In order to get better acquainted with the self-publishing process, though, I decided to use my alphabet creatures to create a simple test book entitled "Kamooks and Ploggits." The above image is consequently the cover of that book.
Please check out my new book website to see what you think.
As also promised, there is indeed a way for you to read "Kamooks and Ploggits" without buying a copy. If you click here and sign up for my mailing list, you will get immediate access to a pdf of the book. Furthermore, as I publish new books every three months you will receive links in your e-mail box to view the new pdfs.
I realize you are probably not as excited by all of this as I am. That is okay, but I hope it at least makes you smile a little.
I would even take a smirk.

Z is for Zollard
In looking back at when I posted "Y is for Yicklepus" I am shocked to see it has been six months. I never intended it to be so long before posting "Z". However, I do feel justified in that I can post this with some exciting news. I have just finished assembling an alphabet book with all of these creatures.
I self-published the book, and it will be available later this week. While I would greatly appreciate any sales from this project, I understand that most people will not be able to contribute in this way. This being the case, I will soon announce a way for anyone to view a free pdf of the book.
In an effort to try your patience, I am going to ask you to wait just a couple days more, after I make a large announcement...

I'm Really Good with Kids
Straight from Charlie Brown's nightmares.
Although, this kite just might be a match for the kite eating tree.

Prophetic Peripheral Vision
Please don't ask me how this works.
What I will say, though, is that it helps to be dead tired and strung up on caffeine.

Trust No One
So, when I was getting the scanned drawing ready to post, I accidentally inverted the colours. I was about to switch it right back when I realized that I liked it much better this way.
That is the power of sastergoodment working for you.
Make mistakes intentional.
If you only knew how accurate that statement describes this blog...

Another Victim of Dubious Conception
After doing an extensive project this past spring that involved drawing cats, I realized the other night that I missed drawing their stripes and little paws.
I concluded by drawing one from memory. It sort of worked.
Poor kitty.
